Key Eastern Europe tourism industry professionals will meet with partners from Singapore during the first Singapore Tourism Board Digital Roadshow on 27th October 2020

On Tuesday October 27th, the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) will be bringing together the finest tourism industry suppliers from Singapore for its annual roadshow. Due to the current epidemiologic situation and travel restrictions, the format of the annual roadshow has been changed to an online event. Though the one-to-one meetings and presentations are now taking place virtually, the passion and level of professionalism provided by the Singapore stakeholders remain the same.

The Singapore Digital Roadshow will welcome 13 exhibitors from Singapore. Tour operators and travel agencies from Eastern Europe will meet the representatives of Singapore Tourism Board, Sentosa Development Corporation, Changi Airport Group, Accor Hotels Singapore, Marina Bay Sands Hotel, Resort World Sentosa, Far East Hospitality and several DMCs (Travel Central Holidays, SeaWheel, The Traveller, SingExpress Travel). The air companies responsible for building the bridges between destinations, Singapore Airlines and LOT Polish Airlines, will also be represented and ready to answer all questions. Every exhibitor will have a private virtual meeting room and will be available for online 1:1 meetings throughout the day. Buyers from Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia are also invited to attend webinars, where STB and partners will share the most recent updates about the situation with the COVID-19 in the country, latest news on the offerings of Singapore, etc; and take part in a lucky draw where buyers can stand to win a trip to Singapore.

“Eastern Europe continues to be an important emerging source market for Singapore Tourism Board. We have been seeing good growth from Eastern Europe prior to the pandemic and this underscores STB’s diversification effort to have a good mix of long, mid and short-haul source markets. Even with the borders closed, we still believe in the importance of engaging our trade partners and keeping them updated on the latest happenings in Singapore. With the roadshow taking place on a virtual platform, we were able to bring along new partners such as Resorts World Sentosa and Sentosa Development Corporation who have not taken part in our roadshows before,” shares Singapore Tourism Board Area Director for Eastern Europe Melissa Jane Thompson.

Singapore has been reopening borders in a progressive and calibrated manner. Though borders between Eastern Europe and Singapore are still closed, our tourism businesses are readying themselves to provide a safe and enjoyable experience for guests and visitors. One such initiative is SG Clean – a mark of excellence for cleaning and sanitisation which will provide assurance for all who visit these premises. Since it was launched in February 2020, more than 20,000 premises have been certified SG Clean.

“Our virtual roadshow will provide an opportunity for buyers interested in Southeast Asia and Singapore to hear about the destination from key tourism stakeholders. Whether your clients are interested in a one-week holiday in Singapore, a multi-city trip in Southeast Asia or hosting a corporate meeting in Singapore, let our expert stakeholders share more with you. Join us from the convenience of your home or office!”, shares Singapore Tourism Board Area Director for Eastern Europe Melissa Jane Thomson.

Singapore Digital Roadshow traditionally serves as an effective platform for communication with partners and improving the competence of specialists on the destination offers.
Registration for the event is now open and free of charge for all tour operators, travel agencies, MICE and concierge companies from the EE countries. You can register and appoint your meetings on the official webpage of the event HERE : www.singaporeroadshow.com
